RSPA Plans 100th Anniversary Celebration at WRC27 in Orlando, Sept. 19-23

ORLANDO, Fla. (October 21, 2026) – The Racquet Sports Professionals Association (RSPA) announced today that it will celebrate its 100th anniversary at the World Racquets Conference 2027 (WRC27) in Orlando, September 19-23, 2027.
The RSPA traces its roots to September 21, 1927, when a small group of coaches met in Philadelphia to form an association devoted to their profession. Over the past century, the RSPA has grown from that gathering into a global community of racquet sports professionals.
“It was a milestone event that took incredible courage to improve the livelihood of a fledgling profession,” said John R. Embree, Interim CEO of RSPA.
WRC27 will serve as the centennial’s centerpiece. Attendees can expect a look back at RSPA’s history along with a forward-looking program that rings in the next century of the profession.
“WRC27 will be our birthday party, our reunion, and our chance to look back with pride while also looking to the next 100 years,” Embree said.
The RSPA is encouraging members to plan early by bringing colleagues and staff, reconnecting with longtime friends, and building the conference into their 2027 calendars and budgets. Centennial activities will continue throughout 2027, with more details to be announced.
