USTA Releases Slate for 2027-28 Board of Directors

The USTA Nominating Committee has named the slate for the USTA Board of Directors for the 2027-2028 term. The slate now goes to the voting members.
Nominated for officer positions for the two-year term starting in January are: J.Christopher Lewis (Southern Calif.), president; Bill McGugin (Southern), first vice president; Perren Wong (Eastern), secretary-treasurer; Chris Capossela (Pacific NW), v.p.; Kathleen Francis (Eastern), v.p.
Nominated as directors-at-large are: Catherine “CiCi” Bellis (Florida–elite athlete); David Champoux (New England); Violet Clark (Midwest); Amanda Fink Moore (Southwest); Jane Munna (Eastern); Jon Rydberg (Northern–elite athlete); Sam Warburg (Northern Calif.); MaliVai Washington (Florida–elite athlete); Derek White (Southern); Brian Vahaly (Mid-Atlantic–immediate past president).
The USTA Nominating Committee also put forth the slate for next term’s Nominating Committee: Marianne Werdel (chair–Southern Calif.–elite athlete); Carla O’Connor (vice chair–Southern); Nancy Abrams (Southern Calif.); Dana Andrews (Florida); Matt Boughton (Northern); Carola Cazenave (New England); William Kevin Collins (Texas); Peter Francesconi (New England); David Goodman (Middle States); Charles Hawkins II (Florida); Marcy Hirshberg (Southern); Jeri Ingram (Mid-Atlantic–elite athlete); Amanda McDowell (Pacific NW–elite athlete); Marlynn Orlando (Middle States); Becki Wortham (Texas).
