Nicola Slater Named International Director of Membership and Certification for PTR
August 19, 2026
Wesley Chapel, FL — August 18, 2026 — Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) has named Nicola Slater its new International Director of Membership and Certification. Effective immediately, Slater will lead international efforts across PTR, Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR), and Padel Coaches Registry (PCR).
Slater joined the organization in late 2025 and has already worked closely with members, providers, and partners throughout the global racquet sports community. In her expanded role, she will oversee international membership, certification, and growth initiatives while serving as the primary point of contact for international providers.

“Nicola brings extensive experience across tennis, pickleball, and padel, along with a genuine commitment to supporting coaches and growing racquet sports worldwide,” said Lynne Rolley, CEO of PTR. “Her collaborative leadership and understanding of our organization make her the right person to strengthen our international relationships and expand the impact of PTR, PPR, and PCR.”
Born and raised in Scotland, Slater played No. 1 singles and doubles at Florida State University, earned a national ranking of No. 12, and later reached a career-high world ranking of No. 165 on the WTA Tour, competing at Wimbledon. A coach since age 15, she credits Judy Murray as a formative influence. After retiring from professional tennis in 2015, Slater expanded her racquet sports experience through pickleball, competing on both the PPA and APP tours.
In her new role, Slater will lead the organizations’ international meetings and work directly with providers to support certification delivery, membership engagement, and sustainable growth in markets around the world.
“I am excited to step into this role and continue building strong relationships with our international providers,” Slater said. “I look forward to getting to know more of our international members, understanding their needs, and working together to strengthen the education, resources, and opportunities we provide around the world.”
As International Director of Membership and Certification, Slater will help advance the organizations’ shared commitment to elevating coaching standards, supporting racquet sports professionals, and creating meaningful career pathways for coaches worldwide.
