Hexagon World Series, International Padel Federation Announce Generali Hexagon Cup Madrid

The first official event of Hexagon World Series (HWS) has been confirmed as the GENERALI Hexagon Cup Madrid, taking place from 21–24 January 2027. Hosted once again at Madrid’s iconic Caja Mágica, the event will mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for padel as the first fully sanctioned Teams event within the new global Series.
Madrid will open the international padel season in 2027 with an event that will bring together the world’s best male and female players, alongside teams and owners from the worlds of sport and entertainment, building on the identity that has defined Hexagon Cup since its inception in 2023 under the motto “For the Fans. For the Players. For the Game.”
The 2027 edition will also carry special significance as it becomes the starting point for the Hexagon World Series, the new professional team padel circuit governed by the International Padel Federation (FIP) and developed as the global expansion of the Hexagon Cup.
The international scale and ambition of Hexagon World Series, together with the work required to build a robust and sustainable structure across multiple markets, has led the organisation to move the official launch of the competition to January 2027 and reshape the calendar originally planned for 2026.
Over recent months, Hexagon, together with 54, FIP, Premier Padel and its wider group of stakeholders, has continued to develop the sporting, operational and commercial foundations of the project. This additional preparation period will strengthen the platform on which Hexagon World Series will be launched.
As the city where the Hexagon Cup journey began, Madrid will serve as the starting point of the inaugural Hexagon World Series season, welcome GENERALI back as title sponsor for the second consecutive year, and remain one of the key destinations in this new chapter.
In the coming months, further information will be shared on the teams, players and expansion of the schedule, including the additional international destinations already identified to complete the 2027 calendar. The move from five to four competition days reflects an updated event format for next season, with full details of the sporting structure to be revealed in the coming weeks.
