USTA Foundation Receives $150,000 From Chase

USTA Foundation, the national charitable arm of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), today announced that for the fifth consecutive year, it has partnered with longtime US Open sponsor Chase to award 10 National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) chapters with a grant. This year, Chase has increased those grants to $15,000 to each chapter. Funding supports year-round tennis and education programming through the A.C.E. curriculum (Academic Creative Engagement), the USTA Foundation’s signature academic initiative. USTA National Campus Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

The USTA commemorated the one-year anniversary of the USTA National Campus, which officially opened on Jan. 2, 2017, in Lake Nona in Orlando, Fla., as the new “Home of American Tennis.” In its inaugural year, nearly 200,000 players visited the groundbreaking facility, with more than 100 international, national and local tournaments held throughout the year. Tennis Industry Magazine Names 2017 'Champions of Tennis'

Ajay Pant, the national tennis director for Life Time, has been named “Person of the Year” for 2017 by Tennis Industry magazine in the publication’s January 2018 issue. ITA, PlaySight Extend Collegiate Tennis Partnership

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association and PlaySight are pleased to announce an extension of their collegiate tennis partnership. Over the past two years, the ITA has helped facilitate PlaySight's SmartCourt expansion across all divisions of the sport. PlaySight is now powering close to 50 men's and women's programs, including the University of Southern California, Princeton, Harvard, Ohio State, and most recently, the University of Florida and Indiana University. North Carolina to Host Fed Cup First Round

The USTA announced that the U.S. Cellular Arena in Asheville, N.C., has been selected as the site for the 2018 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group First Round between the United States and the Netherlands, Feb. 10-11.
