US OPEN Pickleball Championships Announce Sponsorship Renewals by Minto, Margaritaville

Naples, Florida – August 9, 2022 – The Minto US OPEN Pickleball Championships powered by Margaritaville, the most prestigious event in pickleball has announced that both Minto Communities and Margaritaville – the Jimmy Buffett lifestyle brand – have agreed to multi-year extensions to remain as the event’s title and “powered by” sponsors respectively.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with both Minto and Margaritaville through these multi-year extensions,” said Terri Graham, co-founder of the US OPEN. “Minto has been with us since our first event in 2016 and their support has helped us establish the US OPEN as the most prestigious event in the sport. As pickleball becomes an even more important part of their business we know this will only grow. The support of Margaritaville is a perfect fit in helping the US OPEN remain the Biggest Pickleball Party in the World.”

The 2023 US OPEN is scheduled for April 15-22 at “The Pickleball Capital of the World” – East Naples Community Park, in Naples, Fla. the largest permanent pickleball facility in the world with 64 courts. More than 100 of the top ranked professionals, plus nearly 3,000 pickleball players from every state, more than 30 countries and ranging in age from 8 to 87 will compete for more than $100,000 in prize money.

Minto Communities and Margaritaville are among more than 20 sponsors and 20 vendors slated to be a part of the 2023 tournament including; Skechers, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Zing Zang, Franklin, PaddleTek, Gamma, Pickleball Central and more.

The 2021 Pickleball Tournament of the Year as selected by Racquet Sports Industry Magazine, is an economic boom for Collier County, Fla. as it resulted in an economic impact of $10.64 million in 2022. A record 35,000 fans and players attended the 2022 US OPEN, more than double the number of attendees in 2019 (the last event not impacted by COVID-19).
