USTA New England Begins Search for Executive Director
WESTBOROUGH, MA (Feb. 10, 2022) - USTA New England (USTANE) announced that it has begun its search for a new Executive Director. Applications are now being accepted.
The section is seeking an Executive Director (ED) to work with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, partners and all stakeholders to implement USTA New England policies, execute the Strategic Plan provided by the Board, manage human resources, finances and day-to-day operations, and carry forth our mission to promote and develop the growth of tennis in New England.
The ED represents USTANE throughout the section and at the National level, leading the organization to the next level of growth and tennis participation in New England.
The section is governed by a 19-member Board of Directors, elected every three years, which has the final authority on all policy matters of USTA New England. Twenty-three committees that combine board members and stakeholders from throughout the tennis pipeline provide advice and guidance to the board and staff.
USTANE currently has a staff of 26 professionals engaged in tennis, administration, finance, marketing and communications, six of whom report directly to the ED. The staff works out of our offices in Westborough, MA, 30 miles west of Boston.
Key initiatives include a significant expansion in parks and recreation programs and a newly created New England Tennis & Education Foundation.
