2020 Oracle ITA Masters by UTR Set for San Diego

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association is thrilled to announce that October 9-11th the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego will host the Oracle ITA Masters by UTR. In keeping with safe play guidelines and local policies, the Masters will be a singles-only event.
“We are ecstatic to host the Oracle ITA Masters at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, California,” Ryan Redondo, Barnes Tennis Center CEO and General Manager said. “The Oracle ITA Masters is annually one of the premier events on the ITA calendar. Youth Tennis San Diego and the Barnes Tennis Center are committed to promoting and growing not only college tennis, but tennis at all levels and we believe this is a perfect partnership for this event.”
Partnering with USTA Southern California, the Masters is a premier event in the ITA Tour: Fall Circuit. For the third year, the men’s and women’s finals of the Masters will be aired on ESPN. The finals will be aired live Sunday, October 11th on ESPNU starting at 2 PM PT.
The men’s and women’s champions will receive a wild card into the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships. As with the Oracle ITA National Summer Championship, Oracle and the ITA will, once again, provide a cash purse for the championship. The $20,000 purse will be split evenly between the men and women. The prize money will be awarded as follows: Champion ($5,000); Finalist ($2,500); Semifinalists ($750); Quarterfinalists ($250).
The singles-only field is open to collegiate, professional, and high-performance juniors and will be selected based on UTR. In total, four wild cards will be given by the ITA, USTA Southern California, and Barnes Tennis Center. All players will be guaranteed at least three matches throughout the tournament.
Registration for the Oracle ITA Masters by UTR will open on Wednesday, September 16th, and close on Monday, October 4th. All participants must be a current ITA Playing Member to compete in the Oracle ITA Masters by UTR.
