PTR Launches UTR Event Certification Level 1
Hilton Head Island, SC - - Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and Universal Tennis (UTR) are launching the all new Event Certification Level 1 course on May 23. This live online course will be held every month.
Participants will receive training on how to set up and run both UTR and Verified UTR events and will learn how to use UTR’s fully integrated tournament and event management platform to run flexible formats, take registrations and payments, create draws, post scores and manage events from start to finish. Part of the PTR education pathway, the course includes written and practical assessments for certification, and continuing education credits.
“We are excited to grow tennis by bringing our solutions to all PTR members to enhance their professional development and build their tennis credentials by becoming experts in running UTR events,” said Mark Leschly, Chairman and CEO, Universal Tennis. Brian Parkkonen, PTR Chief Operating Officer added, “The launch of the Event Certification Level 1 course is a key resource for coaches organizing UTR events at their facilities. This will ensure PTR coaches have the ability and confidence to run the most effective UTR events possible. The more efficient the event, the better the overall player experience becomes, which ensures continued participation and competitive growth.”
The Event Certification Level 1 is available to current PTR members at a special introductory price of $20 through July 31, 2019.
