Lucky in Love Debuts Newest Collection with Bethanie Mattek-Sands

February 20, 2019

MIAMI (Feb. 20, 2019) — Global tennis apparel brand Lucky in Love releases two exclusive capsule collections with Bethanie Mattek-Sands (BMS) called the BNP Paribas Open line and Miami Open line as part of the brand’s Tournament Series. The two new lines will be released leading up to the 2019 BNP Paribas Open and Miami Open Grand Slam tournaments. The Tournament Series is part of an ongoing design collaboration between Lucky in Love and the former doubles World No. 1 and 2016 mixed-doubles Olympic Gold medalist.

A five-time, mixed doubles Grand Slam champion, Mattek-Sands is now making her mark in the fashion industry. The American tennis pro aims to deliver instantly recognizable collections that are full of color, defined by eclectic prints and produced with luxury materials. The new line encompasses high-impact sportswear that blurs the line between tennis apparel and streetwear.

“Lucky in Love is excited to grow its design partnership with Mattek-Sands,” said Brad Singer, CEO and founder of Lucky in Love. “Known in tennis for her authentic style, she is now making the jump from on-court tastemaker to fashion entrepreneur.”

To ensure fans of the brand are part of the Mattek-Sands tour season, the two capsule collections will be released one week prior to each respective tournament. The BNP Paribas Open capsule collection, which is rooted in bright florals and Palm Desert prints, will be available on Feb. 25. Referencing the vibrant culture and Art Deco scene of South Beach, the Miami Open line will drop on March 11.

“I’ve been wearing Lucky in Love since the brand launched in 2010, so partnering more intimately was the natural progression for our long-standing relationship,” said Mattek-Sands. “Tennis is a lifestyle and what I wear on and off court is a vertical for my creative expression. The pieces I’ve designed for the Tournament Series exude a bold and edgy energy that reflects my playful yet functional approach to fashion.”

Both lines retail for $46-148 and are available to shop online on www.shopluckyinlove.com and tennis-warehouse.com. The BMS + Lucky in Love series will continue debuting more capsule collections this summer during the Grand Slam tournaments.
