TENAFLY, NEW JERSEY – Today, PlaySight (playsight.com), the company behind the Smart Court and the most cutting-edge video and analytics technology in tennis, is announcing their alliance with the United States Tennis Association to equip all 102 tennis courts at the USTA National Campus, the new home of American tennis in Orlando, Florida.

The PlaySight Smart Court installation at the USTA National Campus will provide USTA Player Development, its coaches, and the players they coach with the most cutting-edge technology and tools available to the sport. With all 102 courts at the USTA National Campus featuring PlaySight’s Live Court high-definition live streaming technology, including 32 Smart Courts with analytics and multi-angle video analysis, the USTA’s new National Campus will now offer the most advanced analytics and video technology in the world.

“The USTA National Campus will be this country’s model tennis facility, and with the addition of PlaySight, the USTA can bring technology generally reserved for top professionals to players of all ages and abilities for the first time,” said Gordon Smith, USTA Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer.

PlaySight is the only sports technology company providing an all-in-one video and analytics solution for any sport, including video and live streaming, real time statistics and analytics, instant replay, line calling, and a mobile and social on and off-court experience. PlaySight’s mission is to make tennis more enjoyable and challenging for all players while creating a connected global community of athletes, coaches and fans that has something to offer tennis players of all ages and abilities – from rising juniors and college stars to the recreational player.

“We are proud to be part of the USTA National Campus. It is a game changer for everyone and will set a very high standard,” commented Chen Shachar, Co-Founder and CEO of PlaySight. “The adoption of advanced technology is transforming tennis into a hi-tech sport that will attract more players, especially juniors, to play and watch tennis, increasing tennis exposure and popularity in America and worldwide. We are looking forward to working closely with USTA in growing US tennis.”

“This partnership is so exciting and important not only because the USTA and PlaySight are redefining player and coach development as we know it, but also because the National Campus is bringing the digital age to tennis, allowing players, families, and fans to engage in social media content, live video streaming, and data in a matter of seconds—from the court to the mobile devices,” added Yuval Bar Yosef, General Manager of PlaySight. “We are delighted to take part in this exciting journey, which started two years ago when we installed Smart Courts at the USTA National Tennis Center.”

Continuing its role as an innovative leader in the sport, the USTA will be on the forefront of ushering in a new era of tennis technology by utilizing PlaySight’s innovative analytics and video platform technologies designed to benefit players of all levels. The installation of PlaySight’s technology at the USTA National Campus (slated for the fall of 2016), will make it the most technologically advanced training facility in the country—in tennis and amongst all sports. With live streaming capabilities on all courts, the USTA National Campus will be a beacon for high-level tournaments and events that can showcased to the rest of the world.

The USTA broke ground on the USTA National Campus, the New Home of American Tennis in April of 2015. A model tennis facility, the USTA National Campus, to be completed in late 2016, will feature more than 100 tennis courts, and will be divided into areas that focus on the complete tennis pathway. Open to the public, the USTA National Campus will be able to accommodate family outings, clinics, camps, leagues, and every type of tennis competition and program, from youth tennis events to age-based national championships. Collegiate tennis will be a staple, with the USTA National Campus serving as the home of the University of Central Florida’s men’s and women’s tennis teams, as well as hosting collegiate tournaments. The USTA’s Community Tennis and Player Development divisions, which focus on strengthening the game’s grass roots and developing the next generation of American champions, will also be housed on the site, incorporating the latest technology and equipment to assist with advanced training techniques, sports science, coaching education and improved athletic performance.
