PTR expands education

Hilton Head Island, SC — Professional Tennis Registry announces the expansion of its educational offering with a new Senior Development Certification pathway and Level 3 Junior Development Program. By the end of 2015, PTR will have 1,000 hours of education available to its members.

• Senior Development Certification

PTR is the only organization that provides on court training workshops in the United States to help coaches prepare for teaching senior players. The Senior Development Workshop is aimed specifically at coaches who want to give quality group lessons to beginning and existing players along with efforts to retain them in the sport.

• Level 3 Junior Development Program

Level 3 programs are for coaches who wish to progress their coaching skills and knowledge beyond basic certification. The first program of its kind in the United States that provides advanced coaching education from the red to yellow court.

PTR CEO, Dan Santorum said, “In just a few short years, PTR has grown from its original 10 hours of education toward certification to nearly 1,000 hours of diverse educational opportunities!
