New Babolat Pure Drive: Power, under control
International bestseller, the new 2015 Babolat Pure Drive racket is designed to allow tennis players to master their power, and their game.
In 1994, after more than 100 years of innovating in the stringing and accessories market, Babolat made a strategic decision to enter into the design, manufacture and commercialization of tennis rackets. The Pure Drive turned tennis standards upside down: a blue racket with an elliptical frame was a total departure from other products on the market.
The PURE DRIVE won its first Grand Slam at the 1998 French Open in the hands of Carlos Moya. This marked the beginning of a veritable “Pure Drive Saga” for tennis players around the world from professionals to club players and juniors.
The new cosmetics include a touch of white making it more “approachable,” while keeping the “elegant” feel thanks to black and blue on the interior of the frame. This year, more than ever, the new Pure Drive is synonymous with controlled power and versatility.
NEW BABOLAT PURE DRIVE, “PLAY WITH POWER. MASTER YOUR GAME”
As powerful as ever, the 2015 Pure Drive racket remains loyal to its DNA, thanks to the elliptical frame and beam width that have remained unchanged. Yet, the game has evolved over the last 20 years—court surfaces are faster, balls are livelier, players are stronger—so players must be able to master their power during certain phases of the game. To answer this need, Babolat integrated “FSI” (Frame String Interaction Technology) in the new Pure Drive.
NEW BABOLAT PURE DRIVE, NEW FSI TECHNOLOGY
In 2013, Babolat launched the first connected racket: Babolat PLAY Pure Drive. This advanced technology not only helped to usher in a new era in tennis history, but also led to the gathering of information about the game itself. The data collected from numerous players during testing highlighted an impact zone higher than the traditional center of the racket (“sweet spot”).
Conceived from this new impact zone, the FSI Technology in the 2015 Pure Drive includes:
More narrow stringing pattern around the “sweet spot” to bring more control to players with each strike of the ball Woofer system that allows for longer ball contact on the string bed for more control and comfort This technology allows for an optimal interaction between the frame and the strings to allow the player to consistently hit balls deep in the court and keep opponents behind the baseline.
TO EACH HIS OWN PURE DRIVE
In 2015, two new rackets (Pure Drive Team, Pure Drive 110) will complete the Pure Drive range. Now, each player can find the Pure Drive best suited for their game—whether professional, junior or club player—that will take them through their career.
