Speed vs. Instinct – The Challenge
Right in time for the start of this year’s US Open, HEAD Tennis is presenting nothing less than the face-off between HEAD’s biggest tennis stars in a unique all-court, multi-sport competition.
HEAD’s new digital campaign ‘SPEED vs. INSTINCT — The Challenge’ features Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic and French Open winner Maria Sharapova using their YouTek IG SPEED and YouTek IG INSTINCT racquets in three quite unusual and surprising tests of skill.
The series of films started with Maria challenging Novak via Facebook to a one-of-a-kind contest, in which Maria dominates on the golf course, while Novak is taking revenge on the bowling alley. Finally, the players return to the tennis court for a decisive challenge, which turns up a very surprising result. The video shows Maria attempting a well-known trick shot - shooting a ball can of Novak’s head. However, she failed unexpectedly - all appearing to be a quite painful experience for Djokovic, but a very amusing one for Sharapova. It seems that she now took friendly ‘revenge’ for Novak’s funny impersonation of Maria for HEAD’s last year’s US Open campaign.
HEAD has been rolling out the series of films this week on its digital channels youtube.com/headtennis and facebook.com/headtennis, and the new HEAD Tennis spot ‘SPEED vs. INSTINCT’ showing the complete challenge will launch on August 27th for the start of this season’s final Grand Slam tournament in New York.
Friends of HEAD Tennis on Facebook also have the chance to win exclusive, signed memorabilia from the films in a bespoke sweepstake application running from August 20th to September 17th.
