Added Dimensions: Dunlop Announces Four New 4D Frames
GREENVILLE, SC — Following the successful launch of Aerogel 4D technology earlier this year, Dunlop is adding four new frames to its premium racquet range. Designed for players ranging from beginner to advanced, the Aerogel 4D 2Hundred, Aerogel 4D 5Hundred, Aerogel 4D 5Hundred Tour, and Aerogel 4D 7Hundred all possess 4D Braiding, the definitive control and feel technology, plus the power of Aerogel.
Played by ATP World Tour star Tomas Berdych, the Aerogel 4D 2Hundred is the ultimate player’s racquet, featuring a 95 square inch head, 18x20 string pattern and a strung weight of 11.9 oz. Like all other 4D frames, it features 4D Touchpoints strategically positioned around the frame to make the racquet 33% more stable* and 33% softer* for added touch and feel. These benefits allow players to swing freely, but still have that feel of control and stability that’s important for all levels of play.
Dunlop Tour Team member Nicolas Almagro won the Abierto Mexicano Telcel title this past weekend playing the Aerogel 4D 5Hundred Tour, a slightly lighter racquet (11.1 oz strung) with a bigger head (100sq inches) and more open string pattern (16x18) than the 2Hundred. But ATP level players aren’t the only ones who will benefit from the technologies in the latest Dunlop racquets. Aerogel, the world’s lightest solid, will add some pop for anyone who plays the new 4D 5Hundred and 4D 7Hundred.
In January, Dunlop launched the initial four Aerogel 4D racquets — the 4D 3Hundred, 4D 3Hundred Tour, the 4D 5Fifty Lite and the 4D Super-Lite. “With all eight Aerogel 4D racquets we want players of all levels to feel like they can swing as hard as they want and paint the lines,” said Kai Nitsche, Dunlop’s General Manager of Racquet Sports. “By adding these new racquets to our range, we’re going to allow more players to feel this experience and find their inner player.”
