Professional Sports Registry Gains Its 1,000th 'Dual Impact' Member
Hilton Head Island, SC - In less than a year, the Professional Sports Registry (PSR) has reached the milestone of 1,000 “Dual Impact” members. Most PSR Dual Impact members are educated and certified to teach both tennis and pickleball. PSR also features more than 200 “Triple Threat” members, which primarily adds a platform tennis certification.
“With 1,200+ PSR members and growing, PSR is experiencing impressive growth by providing education and certification for the thousands of coaches in tennis, pickleball, platform tennis, and padel,” says Dan Santorum, PSR President & CEO. “More and more coaches are adding multiple certifications, and we see the trend continuing with PSR becoming the credential of choice to place directly after your name.”
The four organizations that make up PSR — PTR (tennis), PPR (pickleball), PPTR (platform tennis), and PCR (padel), provide world-class coach education and recognized certification. Three of the four PSR organizations are officially recognized by their respective National Governing Bodies:
• PTR/USTA
• PPR/USAP
• PPTR/APTA
PCR, which is less than a year old, is close to achieving NGB recognition as well.
KOPPLIN KUEBLER & WALLACE (KK&W), the most recognized and respected search firm in the racquets industry, is finding great value in PSR programming. According to lead search and consulting executive, Len Simard, “Depending on the sports offered at a club or facility, being a certified PSR Dual Impact or Triple Threat member is what we look for in our searches. PSR is becoming the credential of choice because it indicates coaches are certified in multiple racquet sports.”
PSR began in September 2021, so new members have until September to become Charter Members.
“We see PSR popularity continuing to grow in recognition and stature, said PSR Chairman Karl Hale. Our industry has shifted to now include multiple racquet sports. With tennis, pickleball, platform tennis, and padel all experiencing record growth, the future is very bright for those racquet sports and PSR.”
