Professional Platform Tennis Registry & Viking Sign 3-Year Partnership
Hilton Head Island, S.C. - The PPTR (Professional Platform Tennis Registry) and Viking recently signed a 3-year partnership agreement. Viking will be the “Official Platform Tennis Paddle and Ball of the PPTR.”
“Viking is synonymous with Platform Tennis, said Dan Santorum, PPTR President/CEO, and has been the leader in the Platform Tennis industry for many years. PPTR is thrilled to be partnering with such a successful and iconic brand.”
Viking has once again produced a new, dynamic line of paddles for the 2021 - 22 season. The playability of Viking paddles continues to be unmatched. Moreover, the Viking ball is the leader and preferred ball for tournaments and teaching. In addition to partnering with Viking, PPTR partnered with APTA, and now all three brands are working together to grow the game.
“PPTR has had an impressive and impactful entry into platform tennis, according to Alex Bancila, Managing Partner & CEO of Viking. “PPTR’s education/certification is the best in our industry. We look forward to getting Viking paddles and balls in the hands of PPTR pros.”
PPTR is striving to reach the 500-member mark and plans to conduct 20 certification workshops this season. This goal is being made easier because more and more tennis and pickleball pros are adding PPTR certification in order to obtain the industry’s hottest status - Dual Impact & Triple Threat. Dual Impact and Triple Threat pros will soon be an industry standard, making PPTR a much sought-after certification.
