“Quality facilities are a critical part of the success of every college tennis program and to the sport as a whole,” ITA CEO Tim Russell said. “They play an important role in a program’s ability to engage the community, which is why we are so excited to partner with Ground Rule. Their team will provide invaluable resources to coaches and athletic departments on renovations, new builds, and how to maximize a facility for all-around success.”

Having worked with the likes of USTA National and various USTA sections, Major League Baseball, the Washington Kastles, and many tennis clubs, Ground Rule has extensive experience in all facets of facility design and management. Ground Rule consists of four companies that have the following expertise:

In partnering with the ITA, Ground Rule will disseminate educational material on facility management to ITA members and assist members who are pursuing facility upgrades and new construction. Ground Rule will also work with college tennis programs on feasibility studies and aggregate facility build data in order to establish a set of best practices and standards amongst college tennis facilities.

“We are intimately familiar with how daunting the prospects of launching a new program or enhancing an existing tennis program through facility improvements can be,” Ground Rule CEO Wes Cosgriff said. “At Ground Rule, we leverage our portfolio of companies to bring specific expertise on a variety of complex issues. We are thrilled to partner with the ITA and help its members achieve their aspirational goals.”

Facilities affect every facet of a college tennis program including the ability to generate revenue, engage the community, and attract recruits. With the addition of Ground Rule as an ITA partner, college tennis is set up for success in upgrading and maximizing facilities around the country.
