INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (June 17, 2021) – World TeamTennis has announced it will host fans at full capacity for the 2021 season at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. All matches during the Nov. 13-28, 2021, season between the five teams will take place in the venue’s 8,000 seat Stadium 2.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to play in front of full capacity at the sensational Indian Wells Tennis Garden for the 2021 World TeamTennis season,” said WTT Chairman and CEO Eric Davidson. “It is no secret the Coachella Valley is home to avid tennis fans, and this area certainly knows how to host visiting spectators as well. We look forward to welcoming not only our fans, but also an increasingly talented group of players for the upcoming season.”

Season ticket packages are on sale now and weekend ticket packages will be going on sale June 23 to the general public. Fans are encouraged to visit wtt.com for all of their ticketing needs. Special pre-sale access will be given to previous WTT ticket buyers starting today.

The announcement of full capacity comes as more players are committing to play WTT in 2021. The legendary doubles duo of Bob and Mike Bryan will return for their 19th season at World TeamTennis and be joined by fellow Americans Jennifer Brady, Jessica Pegula and Jack Sock. These players join the previously announced commitments from Kim Clijsters, Taylor Fritz, John Isner and Sloane Stephens.

The most successful doubles tennis duos in professional tennis history, the Camarillo, Calif. native Bryan brothers join Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., native Fritz on the San Diego Aviators. The Bryans have two WTT titles, winning their first with the Newport Beach Breakers in 2004 and their second with the Kansas City Explorers in 2010.

“There’s no question we get a lot more enjoyment out of playing when we can feed off the energy of the crowd,” Mike said. “Being from Southern California, we always love getting back to the region to play in front of some of the best fans in the world.”

The Bryans finished as the No. 1 ranked team in a record 10 seasons on the ATP Tour. The twins – Mike is two minutes older – have a combined 119 career titles, including 16 Major titles.

The winningest duo in United States Davis Cup history with a 24-5 record, the Bryans helped Team USA to the title in 2007. The Bryans won an Olympic gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics and a bronze medal in Beijing in 2008.

“We are looking forward to getting back out there and playing this season,” Bob said. “We have always had a lot of fun playing World TeamTennis. We love the format and the energy that comes with playing these matches.”

Currently ranked No. 14 by the WTA, Brady enters her third season competing at World TeamTennis and joins Isner on the Orange County Breakers. Since returning to play following the COVID-19 pandemic, Brady has accumulated a record of 27-11 while winning her first career title, reaching the 2020 US Open semifinals and the 2021 Australian Open finals. Brady returns to the state of her alma mater, UCLA, where she was the 2014 Pac 12 Freshman/Newcomer of the Year while helping the Bruins win the 2014 NCAA National Championship.

Pegula, who currently has a singles ranking of 26, is the first player named to the Springfield Lasers roster for the 2021 season. Winning her first career title in 2019, Pegula has a 23-10 record in 2021 and reached the 2021 Australian Open quarterfinals. Pegula won over 65 percent of her games at World TeamTennis in 2020.

Sock joins Clijsters on the defending champion New York Empire, where 2021 will mark his fourth season in World TeamTennis. Sock has snagged four singles titles and 14 doubles titles in ATP Tour events while collecting three Grand Slam doubles titles to go with two Olympic medals.

Going on sale to the general public June 23, World TeamTennis will offer three different weekend packages: the Opening Weekend Package (Nov. 13-14), the Weekend Two Package (Nov. 19-21) and the Finals Weekend Package (Nov. 26-28). These packages include tickets for the specified weekend’s matches, 20 percent savings off individual match tickets and parking (a $40-60 value).

The leader in professional team tennis competition, World TeamTennis will take place Nov. 13-28. This will be the second straight WTT season held in a single venue after the 2020 campaign took place at West Virginia’s Greenbrier Resort and yielded several broadcast audience records, including a peak viewership of over 1.1 million for last year’s final.

World TeamTennis teams for 2021 include the defending champions New York Empire and the Springfield Lasers, winners of back-to-back titles in 2018-19. They will be joined by a pair of championship teams from Southern California: the Orange County Breakers (2017) and the San Diego Aviators (2016). Rounding out the field for 2021 is the Chicago Smash, which finished as runner-up in its debut WTT season and will be headlined by Stephens, the 2017 US Open champion.
