PTR Wheelchair Championships to Resume Sept. 24-26 on HHI
The PTR $8,000 Wheelchair Tennis Championships will resume this fall after a COVID hiatus. It will be held September 24 - 26th on Hilton Head Island, S.C.
The tournament has been going on annually for over 35 years! Usually an ITF event, this year will be a bit different as it will be a USTA Level 2 National event and will feature play in Open, A, B,C, D and Quad divisions. The tournament will resume it’s ITF Level II Status in 2022.
The PTR Wheelchair Tournament features opportunities for all levels of play including a Skills & Drills session, a Run/Roll event, Masters Doubles, and a Mental Toughness clinic. At the conclusion of the Finals, PTR also offers the Instructing Wheelchair Tennis Workshop where able-bodied and chair players can learn to share the sport we all love.
