Georgie & Lou Announce Spring Pickleball Bag, Accessory Collection
DENVER, Colo. (April 21, 2021) — Georgie & Lou, the premiere accessory designer for Pickleball, the fastest growing sport in America, has unveiled its Spring 2021 bag collection as well as a brand new website and online shop.
Pickleball is currently played in 37 countries, which is more than doubled from where it was 18 months ago according to the International Pickleball Federation. The rising sport is a mash-up of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It can be played by singles or in pairs; indoors or outside. The aim, like many racquet sports, is to get the ball over the net and prevent your opponent from hitting it back. It primarily requires paddles and specialized hollow plastic balls with larger holes. Any equipment will fit perfectly into pockets in the new Georgie & Lou bags along with several personal items.
In addition to their function, the brand utilized fashionable, trending fabrics, including vegan leather, and the interior liner of each bag was chosen to match the outer fabrics. There are two straps - for the shoulder and a longer, adjustable strap - for added style and ease. Lastly, the solid metal hardware ensures durability; the bags’ signature carabiner system allows the carrier to hang their bag on a hook or fence, no matter the contents, and to avoid leaving it on an unsanitary ground.
Georgie & Lou’s previous line of vegan leather bags were in high demand amongst Pickleball players, and the Co-Founders look forward to expanding with this new collection. “When we became Pickleball players, we observed so many people coming to the courts with their equipment in reusable shopping bags or crammed into their regular purses,” commented CEO and Co-Founder Lori Manzer. “It seemed like a problem we could solve and why couldn’t we have a bag that blended function and style?” added COO and Co-Founder Mimi Kuchman.
