PPTR Hosts Inaugural Platform Tennis Certification, Announces Schedule
Hilton Head Island, SC (Oct. 14, 2020) — Professional Platform Tennis Registry (PPTR), the newly formed subsidiary of PTR, hosted its inaugural Platform Tennis Certification Course for coaches recently at the Ox Ridge Riding & Racquet Club in Darien, Conn. The course provided pros with the opportunity to develop essential coaching fundamentals in order to enhance their students’ enjoyment and success in the game of Platform Tennis.
The PPTR Curriculum was developed by Lead Clinician Patricio Misitrano, a tennis and platform tennis professional, with the assistance of several platform tennis champions. PPTR is pleased to be the Official Education and Certification Partner of the APTA. Tiernan Cavanna, APTA President, was on hand at the inaugural workshop to greet students.
PPTR has announced the schedule for upcoming PPTR Certification Workshops from Chicago, to Atlanta, to Long Island and all points in between. The 6-hour certification course consists of online pre-course work as well as the face-to-face component.
“The APTA and PPTR partnership is a huge positive for platform tennis,” said Misitrano, who serves as PPTR’s educational consultant and lead clinician. “I am excited to implement the educational curriculum and online components to further the knowledge of those teaching platform tennis.”
Platform Tennis Certification Workshop dates and locations have been released and include:

- 10/24: Baltimore
- 10/25: Long Island (Garden City), N.Y.
- 10/30: Chicago
- 11/6: Philadelphia
- 11/13: Cleveland
- 11/14: Guilford, CT
- 11/20: Philadelphia (Newtown Square)
