May 31, 2020

Looking to get your courts and facility up and running safely for your staff, members and players? Foundation Tennis has developed a low-cost, turn-key “Play Safe” offer that will help you and your staff implement the USTA’s guidelines for playing tennis safely, while helping your facility get back on the path to profitability.

The Foundation Tennis Play Safe offer is a streamlined bundle that includes just the online tools facility owners and managers are looking for to meet their players’ needs and adhere to guidelines for safe play due to the coronavirus pandemic as businesses reopen.

“We looked at the USTA’s ‘Playing Tennis Safely’ guidance for facilities from a systems perspective,” says Charlie Ruddy, CEO and Founder of Foundation Tennis, “then we packaged Foundation Tennis software that addresses these guidelines and created a turn-key implementation that we can deliv-er within 48 hours.”

The Foundation Tennis Play Safe offer includes:

 Online court booking and payment (which works for tennis, pickleball and platform tennis).

 An easy procedure for staggering court times and addressing other court booking rules, to help maintain social distancing and keep players safe.

 Detailed record-keeping of players at your facility, to aid health authorities in contact tracing, if necessary.

 Ways to keep players and potential customers informed and connected, including through app push notifications and with email page templates.

The cost for the Play Safe bundle is $500 for the remainder of2020. There is no charge for setup, training, transaction, use fees or monthly maintenance. Customers have the option to renew for 2021 for $60 a month. Accounts will be set up and delivered within 48 hours.

Jim Baugh, a respected veteran of the tennis industry loves what Charlie is doing. “I see a big opportunity for tennis to be proactive in today’s environment. With Foundation Tennis’ turn-key approaches, facility operators and pros can be more aggressive and professional to show how you are presenting tennis safely during this pandemic. This is well done.”

Customers like it as well. Lincoln Ward, Director of largest public tennis facility in Austin, Texas; the Austin Tennis and Pickleball Center, commented, “We received word from the City on a Friday that we could open up the following Monday provided we could accept court reservations and payments online. Foundation Tennis had our system implemented to our needs and up and running over the weekend, accepting court reservations and payments starting that Monday. The Foundation Tennis IT support is second to none. “
