USTA New England, Wilson Partner to Grow Tennis in Section
WESTBOROUGH, MA- The U.S. Tennis Association of New England (USTANE) announces a new partnership with Wilson Sporting Goods. The Chicago-based company will have a deep impact on the delivery of tennis programming throughout New England.
“Our sponsorship with Wilson is a true partnership. Our philosophies align around growing tennis and we are excited to have an enthusiastic partner to help us achieve our goals. Wilson will be putting equipment directly into the hands of kids in public parks who otherwise might not have access to it. That action alone shows the passion and dedication of the company,” said Matt Olson, USTA New England Executive Director and COO.
Along with being the Official Equipment of USTA New England, Wilson will be a presenting partner of Tennis in the Parks. This program is currently on public courts in nine towns around New England impacting nearly 300 kids. This partnership allows USTANE to expand to more cities and provide free racquets to every participant.
“Growing and nurturing the game of tennis is at the core of our company and brand,” said Cy Dofitas, U.S., Grassroots Manager, Wilson Racquet Sports. “USTA New England is a tremendous organization and we share similar aspirations on bringing tennis into more communities New England. We look forward to working with the Association to accomplish this goal and to supplying this section with the most innovative, advanced equipment in the sport.”
Wilson will be fully integrated into USTA New England tennis programming including both adults and youth.
