K-Swiss Launches Pickleball-Specific Performance Shoe
(Los Angeles, CA) August 1, 2019 - K•Swiss announced the introduction of their new performance pickleball shoe, the Express Light Pickleball. With the company having strong momentum as the fastest growing tennis footwear brand in the United States, now ranked #2 in the specialty brick and mortar channel, K-Swiss has officially entered the pickleball market using its strong footwear capabilities and consumer insights.
The new Express Light Pickleball was created to give players a comfortable, lightweight, breathable shoe that supports on-court movement and performance needed for the sport of pickleball. It is an all-around shoe, perfect for the new or frequent player. Included on the shoe is a K-Swiss Pickleball logo, customized Pickleball sockliner, and handtag. K-Swiss also changed their footwear boxes to incorporate a court performance theme focused around the company’s new “Own The Court” campaign.
Mike Miringoff, K•Swiss Vice-President, adds, “The Express Light Pickleball shoe was created from consumer insights over the past two years. Many pickleball players were already buying and using K-Swiss tennis shoes on pickleball courts and urged us to make a specific shoe for the sport. They told us they wanted a shoe even lighter than our tennis shoes, but keeping the K-Swiss comfort and performance they were accustomed to. Consumers even recommended we change our footwear boxes so they would not be tennis specific - we listened to them and did it”.
The K•Swiss Express Light Pickleball performance shoe is available with a Suggested Retail Price of $100.00 and MAP of $94.95, exclusively at select specialty retail stores, pickleballcentral.com and K•Swiss.com.
