Pre-Register for 2020 TOM Conference & Racquet & Paddle Sports Show

June 30, 2019

The TIA’s Tennis Owners & Managers (TOM) Conference will take place Jan. 22-24th at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando, Fla. This will mark the second year that the TOM Conference will be part of the Racquet & Paddle Sports Show, co-located with the PGA Merchandise Show.

New this year is an enhanced integration and cross-promotion with the golf education and attendees at the PGA Merchandise Show and on-floor stages at the Convention Center for learning activities and activations. Additionally, TOM Conference attendees will come away with tangible sessions on: Developing an Executive Annual Business Plan; A 12-Step Approach to Personalize your Leadership Plan and more, including insights with Eddie Tock from REX Roundtables and Disney Institute’s Brent Centlivre. Featured moderators in 2020 include Michael Mahoney, Mike Woody, Doug Cash and Greg Lappin.

The TOM Conference will showcase education sessions by top experts and consultants both inside and outside of tennis and racquet sports. Sessions will include event management and hospitality, facility design and innovation, hiring & staffing, legal, innovative marketing and management, and much more. In addition, the TOM Conference includes the popular “TOM Talks” series, a new Tennis Industry Retail & Marketing Innovation Challenge, Friday afternoon breakout sessions and multiple networking opportunities.

Both the TOM Conference and the RAPS area in the Convention Center include not only tennis, but also other racquet and paddle sports, such as pickleball, POP tennis, platform tennis, padel and more. Different “neighborhoods” are planned for 2020 including three temporary courts—full-size tennis court, padel court and a 60-foot universal court – NEXT-COURT which features regulation pickleball, platform tennis, short court tennis and badminton for the RAPS area inside the Convention Center on which attendees will be able to play various court sports and try out new equipment.

The conference kicks off on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 21, at the state-of-the-art USTA National Campus at Lake Nona for the Innovation & Technology Demo Day and a Welcome Party. At the National Campus, USTA senior directors will welcome attendees and offer tours, and conference attendees will have the chance to test racquets and equipment from RAPS exhibitors on the courts. Starting Wednesday morning, the action is back at the Convention Center.

The TOM Conference is part of the Racquet & Paddle Sports Conference, a B2B event bringing together racquet sports professionals, industry leaders, established suppliers and emerging brands. Co-located with the PGA Merchandise Show at the OCCC, the Racquet & Paddle Sports Conference also includes a curated “One2One” buying summit and a pavilion of racquet, paddle and tennis vendors and organizations.

Admission is free to the RAPS demonstration, exhibition and networking events, and registrants also will have complimentary admission to the PGA Merchandise Show floor.

Pre-Registration is open at racquetpaddlesportsshow.com.
