Dunlop Announces New Line of ATP Balls
Greenville, S.C. — Dunlop announced its full lineup of ATP balls, all developed as part of its multi-year partnership as Official Ball of the ATP Tour. The super- premium ATP Extra Duty ball made its debut in New York City as the Official Ball of the NY Open. It is available at U.S. retailers, along with three other ATP branded balls.
“When the ATP Tour chose us as their official ball, we immediately began work on this new line, which includes the two balls that will be used more than any other ball on the ATP Tour, our ATP Extra Duty and ATP Regular Duty balls,” said Kai Nitsche, V.P. and General Manager for Dunlop Sports. “This week the ATP Extra Duty ball makes its debut on court at the New York Open, and consumers will be able to purchase it here in the U.S. beginning Friday, February 15.”
ATP Extra Duty and Regular Duty Balls
The Official Ball of the ATP Tour, Dunlop’s ATP Extra Duty ball features new HD Pro Core technology (the finest natural rubber mixed with a new proprietary blend of materials) and HD Pro Cloth (woven and dyed for maximum visibility and consistent performance). The balls were tested by current and former players and coaches to meet the highest possible standards. This ball will be used for ATP Tour hard court events.
The Regular Duty version of the ATP ball features Fluoro Cloth construction, which makes it ideal for use on clay and indoor courts.
ATP Championship Extra Duty and Regular Duty Balls
Officially endorsed by the ATP Tour, this mid-range ball is ideal for club and recreational players. The Max Core and Durafelt HD cloth make this ball durable and suitable for play on hard courts.
