PPR Sets Pickleball Conferences in California, South Carolina
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (Oct. 17, 2018) — The inaugural Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Conferences are set for California on Nov. 12 and South Carolina Feb. 15-16.
On Nov. 12, the inaugural PPR Conference will be held during the USAPA National Championships at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. A great line up of topics and speakers will educate coaches on the fastest growing sport in America including:
Sarah Ansboury - Technical Development for Success; Adam Jasick - The Best Games from Around the World; Effective Pickleball Doubles; Brian Parkkonen - PicTen, Bridging the Gap from Pickleball to Tennis; Dean Hollingworth - PickFit, Improving Athleticism in the Adult Player; Jason Jamison - The Youth Pathway, Building Your Program through Fun and Success; and Oivind Sorvald - TecMet, Utilizing Technology to Connect with Your Players. There also will be a Q&A Session with industry leaders from USAPA and PPR.
With a more extensive schedule, the PPR Conference on Hilton Head Island, S.C., will be a two-day event, Feb. 15-16, with the PPR Championships tournament Feb. 17-18. The Conference will feature 20 on-court and classroom sessions covering everything from teaching to programming, including doubles, junior development and how to start a pickleball program.
Industry experts will lead interactive discussions to educate and inspire. Mateflex will demonstrate how to lay down a temporary pickleball surface over your courts or in a parking lot. The event also includes a Trade Show, a Certification Course, and the Margaritaville Dinner Party.
The Hilton Head Island PPR Conference will follow the annual PTR International Tennis Symposium, as many tennis coaches are adding pickleball in their programming.
