11th Annual TIA Tennis Forum Aug. 27 in New York
The annual Tennis Industry Association Tennis Forum will be on Monday, Aug. 27, at the Grand Hyatt New York in Manhattan from 8 to 9:30 a.m. The 11th annual Forum will include the latest news and research about the state of the tennis industry, business insights, updates on grow-the-game initiatives including the USTA’s Net Generation, and recognition of the 2018 Tennis Industry Hall of Fame inductees.
The Forum is free to attend, but space is limited, so registration is required. Visit TennisIndustry.org/forum to register.
Industry leaders presenting at the Forum will include Katrina Adams, the president and chairman of the board of the USTA; Tom Cove, the president and CEO of the Sports & Fitness Industry Association; Kurt Kamperman, chief executive of the USTA National Campus; Craig Morris, the USTA’s chief executive of Community Tennis; Jeff Williams, the president of the TIA; and Jolyn de Boer, TIA executive director.
The TIA Tennis Forum, which will be in the Ballroom at the Grand Hyatt, takes place during the USTA Tennis Teachers Conference/USPTA World Conference.
Information presented at the Forum will help to outline ways to better define and boost the economic growth and impact of the tennis industry; determine effective ways to distribute clear, consistent messaging of health, fitness and the reasons to play tennis; and discuss the business of tennis and the importance of collaboration for our sport. Forum attendees will receive a summary report on key industry research. The TIA also is planning separate industry meetings on Aug. 28 with a deeper look at research efforts under way to help benefit industry business and the sport.
