USF to host College Tennis Exposure Camp
Registrations are being accepted for Coach Ed Krass’ 28th Annual College Tennis Exposure Camp to be held December 3 & 4, 2016 at University of South Florida in Tampa. Former Harvard University Tennis Coach Ed Krass will direct the camp with University of South Florida’s Head Men’s Coach Ashley Fisher.
Coach Ed Krass’ College Tennis Exposure Camp is the only tennis camp taught exclusively by head college coaches. The coaching staff for this camp will include head tennis coaches from Bentley University, Bloomsburg University, Boston College, Colorado State University, University of Connecticut, Drexel University, Florida Institute of Technology, Florida Southern College, Lehigh University, Mercer University, Michigan State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Princeton University, Rollins College, University of South Florida, Stony Brook University, University of Tampa and U.S. Military Academy. Since 1989, Coach Ed Krass’ College Tennis Exposure Camp has been helping high school students get exposure to head college tennis coaches and college tennis training and preparation.
The camp is open to all high school and junior tournament players, ages 15-18, who are interested in playing college tennis. Players will receive on-court instruction from head college coaches during drills and matchplay competitions conducted in the same style and intensity as a college team practice. Players will have the opportunity to sample various coaching styles and to receive on-court coaching during their matchplay competitions. The college coaches also conduct a short classroom seminar that educates the players on today’s college recruiting process.
“This camp is an excellent opportunity for players to showcase their skills, learn the college game, and receive specific feedback from college coaches representing every level of college tennis,” said Coach Ed Krass.
