He will also work to promote the Foundation’s national outreach efforts to assist under-resourced youth and individuals with disabilities.

“It’s an honor for me to join the USTA Foundation as a member of the board of directors to help bring awareness of the great work this organization has done on behalf of our youth around the country,” said Macatee. “After so many years covering sports, and especially in tennis, it’s humbling for me to be a part of the sport in a new dynamic where education is a key component in driving positive change and influence. As a versatile sports broadcaster, Macatee’s career includes 16 years doing NFL play-by-play for CBS Sports. Moreover, he’s twice co-anchored network coverage of the Olympics (1998 Winter Games in Nagano, Japan, and 2006 Winter Games in Torino, Italy) and has anchored and hosted events as diverse as March Madness in basketball, the NCAA Track and Field Championships and The World Professional Figure Skating Championships. In addition, Macatee served as a sports correspondent for the “Today Show” for NBC News and anchored the syndicated program, “USA Today on TV.”
