Longoria, Vargas dominate pro racquetball
San Antonio - Another week and another all HEAD Penn Final on the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) as Paola Longoria and Maria Jose Vargas faced off for the seventh time this season for a tournament title. And for the seventh time, Longoria came out victorious over Vargas in the match-up of the top two ranked players in the world.
The win the Battle of the Alamo is Paola’s 59th career tournament title on the LPRT and her third in a row. Maria has reached the semifinals in all 12 LPRT events this season and has captured two tournament victories during her career best year.
Longoria also won the Women’s Professional Doubles division at the event in Texas.
The final event of the LPRT season takes place next month at the Pro Nationals tournament in Virginia.
