Longoria earns Pan American Games spot
Boca del Rio, Mexico — Paola Longoria, the World’s top ranked female racquetball player, took home gold in both the Women’s Singles and Women’s Doubles competitions at the Campeonato Nacional Selectivo tournament over the weekend. Serving as the selection event for the 2015 Mexican National Team, winners will represent their country in upcoming international competitions including the Pan American Games this summer in Toronto. As the No. 1 ranked player on the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT), Longoria has amassed 55 career tournament victories and has finished at the top of the season points race in each of the past five years. On the international state, Paola has won 16 Gold Medals and is the Pan American Games defending Single’s and Double’s champion (Guadalajara, 2011).
