Antigua launches spring line
Peoria, AZ — The Antigua Group, Inc. today announced its Spring 2015 collection of women’s performance tennis apparel. Set to debut in mid January, the line features a mix of contemporary and traditional designs (with a special emphasis on team uniforms), Antigua’s proprietary Desert Dry™ and Desert Dry Xtra-Lite™ performance fabrics, and a wide selection of color options.
Three new additions highlight the collection. The Chip dress has a contrast mesh side and back insets, pleated skirt and built-in self bra (available in six color options). The Love tank, a racerback, features mesh side and back insets (also in six colors), and the Spin skort is a 14.5” jersey knit skort with a scalloped front and mesh underlay.
“The variety of styles and colors in our 2015 women’s collection will help us hit a wide group of tennis players,” said Ron McPherson, President and CEO of Antigua. “Whether you’re a singles veteran, or new to the game and playing on your first team, we have a style to match your needs.”
Antigua: Outfitting Teams and Tournament Officials
With its robust embroidery capabilities done in-house, one of Antigua’s specialties is outfitting tournaments officials and teams with logoed apparel expertly and quickly. For the Family Circle Cup, the premiere U.S. clay court event on the WTA Tour, Antigua outfits the officials, umpires and ball kids. Antigua has also helped with smaller tournaments around the country and outfitted high school teams and tennis academies.
“We specifically added a wide variety of colors for our new Chip dress, Love and Blocked tank tops to give tennis teams as much choice as possible,” said Sean Gregg, Director of Product Development. “And if those choices aren’t enough, our Essentials and Outerwear collections also offer teams extensive design and color options.”
Also new to the 2015 line are the Prime Jacket and Prime Pants, each available in black, white and navy blue. The 100% polyester Desert Dry double knit pointless back jacquard pieces are perfect for warming up on cold days.
Desert Dry™ and Desert Dry™ Xtra Lite Technologies
All of Antigua’s tennis apparel features its proprietary Desert Dry™ and Desert Dry™ Xtra Lite technologies. “D2XL is tailor made for tennis because of its ability to help rapidly wick away moisture,” said Gregg. “It’s also extremely light, which gives tennis players a more flexible feel and allows heat to dissipate more quickly. Desert Dry is slightly heavier and we tend to use that in our Outerwear collections
