Carson wins 2nd tournament in a row
Davison, Michigan — Rocky Carson, the World’s No. 2 ranked racquetball player, won his second International Racquetball Tour (IRT) event in row this past weekend in Michigan. The finals appearance at the Red Swain Shootout was Rocky’s fourth in five events on the IRT this season.
The tournament victory for the HEAD Penn professional touring player is Carson’s 20th of his career, placing him seventh all-time. The tournament was Rocky’s 199th appearance on the men’s professional tour.
Last summer Rocky defeated the best players in the world on the indoor courts at the International Racquetball Federation’s (IRF) World Racquetball Championships in Canada. Carson’s gold medal was his ninth indoor World Championships medal of his career.
Rocky will attempt to create a tournament winning streak of three in a row next weekend at the Turkey Shootout in Garden City, Kansas.
