Parents invited to session with Bollettieri

October 20, 2014

MANCHESTER, MA — This week, Nick Bollettieri — professional tennis’s outspoken, passionate, fearless and inspirational coach — will visit the Manchester Athletic Club’s MAC Tennis Program, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Regional Training Center of New England.

On Thursday, October 23, Bollettieri will host a parent session at Manchester Athletic Club’s tennis facility at 6:30pm. The session is free and open to all parents of USTA New England tournament players. Space is limited to the first 60 parents who call for a reservation.

During his annual visit to the club whose tennis program he helped design 12 years ago, Bollettieri will also give private and group lessons, as well as host a 10-and-under Green and Orange Ball Day on Saturday, October 24, from 12:00-2:30pm, and High Performance Tennis Academy Days on Saturday from 2-5pm and Sunday, October 25, from 9am-12pm.

Bollettieri recently received the highest honor in tennis when he was inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, earlier this year. He has coached ten #1 players in the world including Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Martina Hingis, Jelena Jankovic, Marcelo Rios, Monica Seles, Maria Sharapova, and Venus and Serena Williams—as well as the current #6 player in the world, Kei Nishikori.

“Our affiliation with Nick gives us some high-level opportunities, said Todd Carpenter, Director of Tennis at Manchester Athletic Club. We’re fortunate to be able to extend this invitation to our tennis members, as well as the USTA junior community and their parents.
