NetSuite to name new glass squash court
SAN FRANCISCO — After sponsoring one of the top major professional squash tournaments in the U.S. for three years, NetSuite Inc. is strengthening its bond with the sport by securing the naming rights for a new state-of-the-art all-glass squash court, the company, Event Engine and Welldone Agency jointly announced today. The new NetSuite Challenge Court will make its debut at the NetSuite Open in San Francisco’s Justin Herman Plaza September 26-30.
“As a leading technology company, it makes sense for NetSuite to be branded with the world’s most advanced squash court,” said Evan Goldberg, NetSuite’s co-founder, Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of the Board. “With squash’s significant growth in the U.S., the court provides us with the opportunity to further our connection with the sport and its fans.”
Now branded the NetSuite Challenge Court, the new portable all-glass court built by McWIL Squash will be used for the next five years at Event Engine’s portfolio of top level events including the NetSuite Open, the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions in New York’s Grand Central Terminal, Showdown in Boston and the KPMG Grand Slam Cup in Frankfurt. The court will also be available for rental by other promoters and organizations at discounted rates due to NetSuite’s financial support.
“After putting on 45 world class glass court pro squash events, we’ve been able to work with our trusted partners at McWIL Squash to develop a ‘next generation’ court that adds technology to the best choices for color and construction,” said John Nimick, a U.S. Squash Hall of Famer and President of Event Engine, Inc. “The NetSuite Challenge Court will move the presentation of the sport forward for players, spectators and live television audiences.”
The NetSuite Champions Court will have the following groundbreaking advancements:
- First of its kind LED video on both the front wall and on the tin
- In-court scoring and replay capability
- Power ring-style branding capability including moving graphics and images
- Integrated sidewall viewing monitors
- Arena-style audio
- Full overhead LED court lighting for quick on/off capabilities, maximum distribution and density
All the matches on the new NetSuite Challenge Court will be streamed by PSA Squash TV September 26-30.
