USPTA Southern recognizes charity event
Atlanta, GA — Ken Andriano, Tennis Director at The River Club in Suwanee, GA, accepted the Charity Event of the Year award on behalf of The River Club’s 1st Annual Sport of Giving Charity Pro-Am at the USPTA Southern Division awards luncheon held at the Standard Club. The charity event of the year award is given to a professional who raises money for a charity. Participants in the Pro-Am included thirty member of The River Club and thirty tennis teaching professionals. It was a two day round robin team event. The first day concluded with a grand party and silent auction. The second day concluded with awards.
The Pro-Am raised nearly $55,000 for the Gwinnet Medical Center for Cancer Research and the Atlanta Youth Tennis and Education Foundation.
