AO sweepstakes winners tie the knot
Matt Wiens and Sally Purdy left Blaine, WA, earlier this month to see the 2014 Australian Open as winners of the annual Tennis Channel Australian Open Sweepstakes. They returned home a week later as Matt and Sally Wiens.
In addition to spending a week in Melbourne, sightseeing, watching tennis and getting interviewed on Tennis Channel by Justin Gimelstob, Matt and Sally decided to make the all-expense paid trip even more memorable by getting married in a public park in downtown Melbourne — just down the road from Rod Laver Arena. In fact, two local Aussies who served as witnesses for the nuptuals, gave them Australian Open tickets as a wedding gift.
Tennis fans who want to follow in Matt and Sally’s footsteps and win a trip to the 2015 Australian Open - getting married is optional — have until midnight (ET) on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 to enter at tennischannel.com/aussie_sweeps/.
