JTCC and Fila Sign Multi-Year Partnership
College Park, MD — The Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) and Fila announced a multi-year agreement to promote Fila’s performance tennis apparel, footwear and accessories at one of the nation’s top USTA Regional Training programs.
“Our coaches and players have responded with great enthusiasm about both the comfort and style of the Fila® line,” said JTCC CEO Ray Benton. “We are proud to be associated with Fila, which has such a long history in the world of tennis.”
As part of the agreement, Fila will outfit JTCC Coaches and has developed a custom JTCC - Fila® co-branded jacket for players and coaches to wear at junior tournaments around the world. Fila has opened a concept shop at JTCC that features the brand’s latest apparel, footwear and accessories.
The partnership gives Fila the ability to connect with junior players who are the future of tennis in the United States. JTCC players and coaches will collaborate with Fila’s design and development teams and will wear-test Fila footwear and apparel. Recently, JTCC players provided feedback on the Sentinel, Fila’s new performance tennis shoe.
Each year, Fila and JTCC will select a group of junior players with national top 50 rankings in their age group and who epitomize sportsmanship on and off the court to receive a special product package.
“We are thrilled to be associated with the JTCC,” said Jon Epstein, the President of Fila USA. “Junior tennis is an integral part of the company’s grass roots tennis efforts. The players and coaches at the JTCC exemplify the commitment to the sport that has been and will be such an important part of our history and our future.”
“Fila is a top of the line tennis brand, just as JTCC students represent the best upcoming players in the nation,” continued Benton. “We look forward to growing our partnership within the sport.”
In addition to the partnership with JTCC, Fila is also a sponsor of the BNP Paribas Open, Sony Open and the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships. The company also sponsors top ATP World Tour and WTA Tour athletes including Janko Tipsarevic, Andreas Seppi, Dmitry Tursunov, Jelena Jankovic, Julia Goerges, Nadia Petrova, and Yaroslava Shvedova.
