Ganim wins national title
LAS VEGAS — HEAD Penn’s Doug Ganim shocked the Classic Professional Racquetball Tour (CPRT) by upsetting the No. 1 ranked player on tour and defending champion. Ganim knocked off the top ranked player in the event’s quarterfinals and then went on to defeat the tournament’s No. 2 seed in the finals to capture the CPRT National Championship.
In addition to his recent strong play on the racquetball court, Ganim is the Racquetball Promotions Manager for HEAD Penn Racquet Sports and the Executive Director of the US OPEN Racquetball Championships. A former 4-time National Men’s Open Doubles Champion and 3-time World Doubles Champion, Ganim’s CPRT National Championship trophy will now sit next to his 2013 Men’s 45+ National Doubles medal on his mantle.
HEAD Penn’s Cliff Swain also reached the semifinals at the CPRT event earning a top 4 finish. Swain is one of the most dominate professional racquetball players and still holds the all-time win record on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) at 71 tournament wins.
