USPTA Mid Atlantic Division names Kearns
Charlottesville, VA — The Mid Atlantic Division of the USPTA has announced that Patrick Kearns of Charlottesville, Virginia has joined the Division as the Executive Director. Kearns brings with him over 25 years of experience working within the tennis industry. He has served in a number of capacities including Head Tennis Professional at Farmington Country Club from 1995-2012 and is currently the Executive Director and Owner of 4 Star Camps, in Charlottesville, Virginia. From 2000-2002 Kearns served as President of the USPTA Mid-Atlantic Division and earned the award for USPTA Mid-Atlantic Division Professional of the Year in 2000 and 2008.
“Patrick has been involved in the tennis industry for over twenty years and he will bring his passion for the USPTA and tennis in general to his new position. The Mid-Atlantic Division is excited to have him as our Executive Director”, said John Cleary, Division President. “We are confident that Patrick will lead our division forward to new heights.”
“I intend to apply my experience and communication skills to improving the overall experience of the teaching professional in the Mid Atlantic region and with my contacts it will allow me to transition into this position quickly,” says Kearns. “I am looking forward to working with everyone in the section.”
