Antigua announces 2013 women's line
Peoria, AZ — The Antigua Group, Inc., well known in the golf apparel, sports licensing and casual wear business for over 30 years, today announced its 2013 line of women’s tennis apparel, split into Performance, Essentials and Outerwear collections. Contemporary styling and high-tech performance feature prominently, with Antigua’s Desert Dry™ and Desert Dry™ Xtra Lite (D2XL) technical fabrics helping women compete and look their best under all conditions.
“Choosing stylish colors and designing contemporary pieces that match well is important with any women’s tennis line,” said Ron McPherson, President and CEO of Antigua Group. “But the apparel must also stand up to competitive use. Our new women’s line not only does that, but our proprietary Desert Dry and D2XL fabrics can help your tennis game by keeping players dry and cool.”
“When we present our women’s line to retailers, it’s the colors that have an immediate appeal. But because tastes in color differ so widely, we make sure we have plenty of options to present. For instance, some of our Essentials collection is offered in over 20 color combinations,” said Sean Gregg, Director of Product Development. “Beyond that, we’re on top of the latest fashion trends, such as back details; the Tempo Tee and Pulse Tee both combine our D2XL fabric with mesh back insets. These features have proven extremely popular with women in looks, feel and effectiveness.”
The Performance collection consists of seven items, ranging from polos to skorts to jackets. Most come in at least five color options. The Essentials collection is made up of eight different tops, some available in as many as 22 colors. The Outerwear collection has four tops, including hoodies, half zip fleeces and long sleeve full zip jackets. Some are available in as many as 26 colors.
Antigua: Custom Embroidery Specialists
Known amongst golf retailers for its high quality custom embroidered apparel offered with small minimums and quick lead times, Antigua brings this unique expertise to tennis apparel retailers. All Antigua tennis apparel sold at retail features the retailer’s logo. Logos can be placed in any location on the piece and in any size. Antigua’s art department is always willing to help retailers with their logo in any way possible, including designing a logo. Most orders can be turned around in one to two weeks, and logoed orders can be as small as 24 pieces (or one piece for non-logoed apparel).
Desert Dry™ and Desert Dry™ Xtra Lite Technologies Explained
Antigua’s initial line of tennis apparel features its proprietary Desert Dry™ and Desert Dry™ Xtra Lite technologies. “D2XL is tailor made for tennis because of its ability to help rapidly wick away moisture,” said Gregg. “It’s also extremely light, which gives tennis players a more flexible feel and allows heat to dissipate more quickly. Desert Dry is slightly heavier and we tend to use that in our Outerwear collections.”
Online Retail Store Now Open to Tennis Fans and Players
Antigua’s ‘Shop.Antigua.com’ website is up and running now for tennis fans to see and purchase some of its tennis apparel. Unlike what will be sold at retail, this apparel is solely branded with the Antigua logo.
