Bollettieri to be inducted into Hall of Fame
WHAT: The TIA Tennis Forum and Tennis Industry Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony honoring Nick Bollettieri
WHERE: Grand Hyatt in New York City, 42nd St. and Lexington Ave.
WHEN: Friday, Aug. 24, at 6:00 p.m.
Bollettieri will be introduced by former student and current TV tennis analyst Brad Gilbert. Bollettieri Press Conference to follow at 7 p.m., Grand Hyatt
Bollettieri, who recently turned 81 years old, has coached 10 world No. 1 players: Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Jim Courier, Martina Hingis, Jelena Jankovic, Marcelo Rios, Monica Seles, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Venus Williams. The Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, founded in 1978, was the first major tennis boarding school and changed the way tennis was taught at the elite junior level.
