Sea Island appoints Steve Hall

March 27, 2012

Sea Island, Georgia — Sea Island, one of the only domestic resorts to offer a squash program, announced today that Steve Hall will take the helm as Director of Squash. Hall, a Level II Certified Squash Professional, brings with him more than twenty years of professional and courtside experience in squash and racquet sports. He will oversee all aspects of Sea Island’s squash program, including advocacy, partnerships, programming and instruction.

On the court, Hall was a repeated Top 10 finisher at the Canadian National Squash Championship and represented his home Province numerous times as a member of the Alberta Men’s Squash Team. A Calgary native, Hall has held Squash Professional roles at some of the most impressive clubs in Canada, including Bankers Hall Club, Edgemont Club and The Glencoe Club.

Hall’s experience off the court is equally impressive. He has more than two decades of experience in sports sales and marketing, most recently holding the title of Director of Marketing for Dunlop Sports, where he was responsible for all marketing operations and programs for the North American racquet sports division. Prior to his twelve-year tenure with Dunlop Sports, Hall served as President of Manta Sports overseeing the company’s global operations, including marketing and development of squash products and equipment. A former member of the United States Squash Racquets Association Board of Directors, squash is a lifelong passion of Hall’s both personally and professionally.

“I am excited to get back on court and can’t think of a more perfect place to do so than at Sea Island,” said Hall. “Whether playing doubles or singles squash, working on your short-game on the three championship golf courses or clay shooting at the resort’s shooting school, Sea Island offers top-line sporting endeavors for everyone. I am looking forward to combining my marketing experience and professional sports background to further elevate the squash program at this renowned resort.“

Sea Island features two international singles courts and one North American doubles court for guests and club members to enjoy. For additional information on Sea Island’s squash program, visit seaisland.com.
