Charity tournament honors Levitz Furniture
LOS ANGELES — This year, more than 1 million people will be diagnosed with cancer. Leaders and supporters of the home furnishings industry are invited to register for the 21st annual West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament to help make a difference in the lives of patients and families everywhere. Hosted by City of Hope at the Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club in Orange County, Calif., the event will honor the Levitz furniture family while supporting lifesaving cancer research and treatment at City of Hope. About the West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament
For the past 50 years, the National Home Furnishings Industry (NHFI) has supported one of the world’s foremost cancer research hospitals, City of Hope. From California to North Carolina, this outstanding institution has become the industry’s “charity of choice.” NHFI’s annual West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament has become a great opportunity for industry partners to raise money and awareness for City of Hope while gathering informally to relax and socialize with colleagues and competitors. Since 1989, when the first tournament was founded, it has been held in Southern California. Over its history, tournament proceeds have totaled more than $6.2 million. This year, NHFI will also host City of Hope events in High Point, N.C., Chicago and Boston.
