Six Sigma Tennis Goes to Notre Dame

October 11, 2011

SARASOTA, Fla. — ASQ’s newest group, Quality in Athletics, is bringing the Global Voice of Quality to Notre Dame on Tuesday, October 18 at 10:00 AM to demonstrate Six Sigma techniques in Tennis.

In Six Sigma Tennis, leading expert Steven Falk explains how the improvement processes major corporations use to ensure 99.99 percent quality can now be used by tennis players of all levels to achieve 99.99 percent success rates on and off the court; in other words, how to win.

Falk states, “Our goals have very little power if we are not honestly trying to live up to the best that we know. We always do what we believe; therefore, the first thing we do in Six Sigma Tennis is to define the goal. Second we measure each individual player’s performance against the goal to establish a benchmark. The process then moves on to analyze, improve and finally control the best possible level of performance for each individual player.”

One male and one female student have been selected to be personally trained on-court by Steven Falk at Notre Dame in front of numerous athletics spectators, quality in sports committee members and local press affiliates.
