Watson Wins Opener in Clearwater
Heather Watson, 17, won her opening round match of the ITF Women’s $25,000 in Clearwater, Florida against world number 172, Anna Tatishvili of Georgia, 6-7(5), 6-1, 6-2. Watson reached the singles Quarterfinal round as a qualifier the previous week in Hammond, LA as well as the semifinals of doubles. She is the reigning Jr. US Open Champion.
