Babolat Announces Award Winners
Boulder, Colorado — Babolat, leading manufacturer of tennis racquets, congratulates the recipients of the annual Babolat Sales Awards, recognizing outstanding retail partners and representatives within the company. Award categories included Dealer of the Year, Customer Service Representative of the Year and In-house MVP among others.
Mickey Maule, national sales manager for Babolat USA explains, “Our team wanted to highlight the accomplishments of some of the key players both within our network of retailers and inside the company. Congratulations to all of our winners!”
Dealer of the Year: Tennis Express
The Dealer of the Year award recognizes a dealer who has showed exceptional support for the brand and participated in all of Babolat’s sales and promotion programs. This year, Tennis Express was awarded this honor.
Maule commented, “Babolat has many exceptional retail partners but this year we wanted to salute Tennis Express for their enthusiastic support. Tennis Express maintains a specialty store feel that is well suited to our brand along with a comprehensive online store. Brad Blume and his staff do an amazing job of promoting our products with an extensive offering.”
“We are truly thrilled about this award,” said Brad Blume, president of Tennis Express. “Babolat is a terrific brand for us because they produce great products that meet consumer needs, have pricing policies to help protect our margins and offer sales promotions to energize our team. They do a lot of things right.”
Sales Representative of the Year: Monte Long
Babolat awards also salute members of the company who do an excellent job of representing the brand. Monte Long, from the Mid-Atlantic region, was recognized for his outstanding sales and service efforts. Long led the company in overall growth for the year ending June 30, 2009.
“This award is well-deserved,” said Maule. “Monte consistently goes above and beyond and it shows in his results. He is dedicated, goal-oriented and has proven time and time again to be a valuable team player.”
In-house MVP: Patty Walker
Patty Walker, sales operations manager for Babolat since 2000 received the award for In-house MVP. Walker has been with Babolat since the company opened it’s doors in the US and is a tennis industry veteran who offers a very high level of customer service for Babolat’s key accounts.
Maule adds, “Patty is an invaluable asset to the company. She’s been a big part of the success of the brand since day one and always gets the job done.”
Additional Recognition: John Ainsworth and Mike McCormick
Babolat also congratulates John Ainsworth and Mike McCormick who demonstrated strengths in the area of customer service.
