The Ritz-Carlton Tennis Garden, Key Biscayne, is the largest tennis center of any Ritz-Carlton property worldwide, with10 soft clay Hydro -courts. The facility was designed by tennis legend Cliff Drysdale, and is operated by his tennis management company, Cliff Drysdale Tennis. A full schedule of tennis programs and events are implemented on a daily basis by the resort’s professional tennis staff, lead by Tennis Director Mark Chellas. A completely equipped pro shop is on site, as well as a full time tennis concierge to provide guests with complimentary personalized and customer services.
“It is always nice to be up the top of any list, but I am always happy to see strong results in these categories. With so many tennis resorts in the US, I have always wanted to find ways in which the tennis experience we offer our resort visitors, is simply more memorable. The better we impact resort visitors, the more loyal guests we create”, says Mark Chellas, Tennis Director. “I believe we can offer much more than your average Tennis resort, primarily with our ability to tailor tennis packages to fit the specific needs of each person, family, group or corporation. I do not offer a daily routine that you must fit into. I find out what it is that our clients want to gain from their tennis getaway, and from that information, we build the best package to accomplish this. I believe this is truly what players want, they are ensured to gain the results they are looking for, and our ratings only continue to get stronger!”.
The resort was also received a number 3 ranking in the United States in “game arranging,“ a category that identifies the country’s best tennis resorts for players who want to be matched with others at their skill level.
